Major Shaun Klucznik currently serves as the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office’s Judicial Services Bureau Commander and Jail Administrator. Major Klucznik oversees the 812 bed Hernando County Detention Center, Court Security Bailiffs, Warrants and Civil units. Major Klucznik is a 24 year veteran in the criminal justice field and is dual certified in corrections and law enforcement. During his tenure at the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, Major Klucznik’s prior assignments include Judicial Services Captain, Special Operations Captain, Detention Operations Lieutenant, Special Operations Lieutenant and acting Human Resources Director.
Major Klucznik is a graduate of the American Jail Association’s National Jail Leadership Command Academy, is a Certified Jail Manager through the American Jail Association, and a Certified Correctional Executive through the American Correctional Association. Major Klucznik currently serves on the American Jail Association’s Board of Directors. Major Klucznik holds an Associate in Science Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Petersburg College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University, and will be completing his Master’s Degree in Philosophy from Saint John Vianney College Seminary in Miami in December of 2021.
