Chris Roberts is a dual certified professional Law Enforcement and Corrections Officer who has served the Sheriffs and citizens of Collier County for over 40 years. He currently serves as the Chief of Corrections and Jail Administrator. Chief Roberts’ long and distinguished career has included work as a Corrections Deputy, Patrol Deputy, Detective (including assignments to multiple Federal Task Forces), Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain of Investigations, Chief of Corrections and Chief of Law Enforcement. After a brief retirement in 2022 he returned to the agency in 2023 as the Executive Officer prior to resuming his previous role as Chief of Corrections.
Chief Roberts holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s 41st Command Officers Development Course, the 230th Session of the FBI National Academy, and 71st Session of the DEA Drug Unit Commanders Academy. He is a Certified Jail Manager with the American Jail Association and a previous Commissioner with the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission serving from 2016-2022.
