Chief Adam Geissenberger has dedicated 25 years of service to the citizens of Pinellas Park, joining the department after working for the Florida Department of Corrections and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Throughout his career, Chief Geissenberger has held various positions, including roles in patrol operations, the special investigations unit, professional standards, youth services, school resource and the records section. Chief Geissenberger holds two master’s degrees from Troy University: a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Public Administration. He graduated from the 266th Session of the FBI National Academy and was the president of the Senior Leadership Program, Class #21, at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). He is currently completing coursework for the Chief Executive Seminar class # 58 at FDLE and is a graduate of Leadership Pinellas, class of 2021.Throughout his tenure, Chief Geissenberger has been recognized for his contributions and achievements. He was the 2012 Police Officer of the Year and the recipient of the 2025 Chamber of Commerce President's Award. He was the agency accreditation manager and served as a CFA accreditation assessor and team leader. He has also served for ten years on the Tampa Bay Multi-Agency Gang Task Force. Chief Geisenberger’s commitment to professional development and community service is evident through his involvement in various boards and councils, including the NCIS - LINX SE Region Executive Committee, the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust LEAP as Director at Large, the Pinellas County Substance Abuse Advisory Board as Chairman, and the Hope Villages of America Board of Directors. Chief Geissenberger is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Florida Police Chiefs Association, where he currently serves as the District 12 director.
