Biography

Stacey Jenkins serves as the Chief Correctional Officer for the Pasco County Corrections Department, operated by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners. Chief Jenkins has served in this role since October 2022. Chief Jenkins began her career in law enforcement with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office in April 1991, as a Detention Deputy at the Land O’ Lakes Detention Facility. In 1995, she obtained her law enforcement certificate and had the privilege of utilizing her experiences to support many assignments within the Sheriff’s Office. Prior to being appointed Chief for Pasco County Corrections, she served as Major of the Court Services Bureau, Pasco Sheriff’s Office (2015-2022), Captain of Court Services Operations, Criminal Process Lieutenant, Administrative Lieutenant and Operations Lieutenant, along with numerous other assignments as she progressed throughout her career. Chief Jenkins holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice, with a concentration in Legal Studies, from Saint Leo University. Chief Jenkins is a CJSTC certified General and Defensive Tactics Instructor and has served as an adjunct instructor with Pasco Hernando State College, formerly Pasco Hernando Community College, instructing corrections and law enforcement since 1994.
